Ark Select Flow Valve
0₦6,500.00ARK’s Select-Flow Valve™ packs make drinking easier for beginners and/or individuals with oral motor difficulties.
It’s uniquely designed to control the direction of fluid – liquid flows up into the straw, but does not flow back down. Because fluid stays at the top of the straw, each subsequent sip requires less effort. It also reduces the air ingested, so users experience less coughing and choking while consuming more fluids. Highly recommended for individuals who tend to aspirate or have difficulties generating and maintaining suction (a weak suck). Simply push the tapered end of the valve into the bottom of a straw to get started.
For individuals who tend to take too much fluid at a time, the Select-Flow Valve™ packs also slow the flow of fluid, allowing for smaller, more manageable sips that lower the risk of coughing/choking. If a restricted flow is not necessary, simply trim the tapered end with a pair of scissors to increase the flow.

Bite Blocks (Set of 3)

Lip Blok 3/4 Yellow

To use, simply press into the top of a straw and drink. The Lip Blok prevents the straw from going too far back in the mouth and keeps the fluid in the front of the mouth.

The mouthpiece (the extension that goes in the mouth) measures 3/4″ in length. The face of the mustache measures approximately 2.6 inches at its widest and 1.6 inches tall.

Probutton

The set comes with two handles – each with 2 “buttons”- each button has a different diameter.
The yellow handle has buttons of .5″ and .6″ in diameter (labeled 1 and 2, respectively). The teal handle has buttons of .7″ and .8″ in diameter (labeled 3 and 4, respectively).
Starting with the largest button that comfortably fits in the individual’s mouth, place the “button” inside the lips (in front of the teeth). Have the individual close their lips around the button while you pull and do a gentle “tug and pull” motion for resistance. Eventually transition to the smaller diameter buttons as the individual progresses. More detailed instructions are included.
Working on lip closure can help improve feeding skills, drinking skills, saliva control, speech sound production and more.
